Mechanic Agreement

This agreement is between you (the mechanic) and Auto Pro Alliance. It adds to our Terms of Service.
1. Independent contractor
You run your own business. You're not an employee, agent or partner of Auto Pros. You choose your jobs, hours, prices, tools and methods.
2. Licenses and insurance
You must hold and keep current every license, registration and permit your state and city require for the work you offer (for example, state repair-facility registration or EPA 609 for A/C). We strongly recommend general liability and garage-keepers insurance.
3. Honest quotes and work
Give accurate quotes, do the work you agreed to, tell the customer before any extra cost, and honor the warranties you state on invoices.
4. Taxes
You're responsible for your income taxes and for charging and paying the correct sales tax for your state. In some states, marketplace laws may require Auto Pros to collect sales tax on your behalf; if that applies, we'll notify you before changing how tax is handled.
5. Payments
Customers pay through Stripe, and funds go to your Stripe connected account. By connecting, you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. No platform fee applies today; we'll give notice before adding one. If a refund is approved or a customer's chargeback succeeds for your job, the refunded amount may be deducted from your future payouts or recovered from your Stripe connected account.
6. Approval and suspension
We review profiles before they're public and may deny, suspend or remove a profile for inaccurate information, complaints, or breaking these terms.
